Muscular Strength

Muscular strength is the amount of force that your muscles can exert against resistance. When you use your muscles regularly, they become strong. They help you life, push, pull, jump, twist, turn, and bend. Having muscular strength can keep you from being easily fatigued. It can keep your muscles from become sore or injured when you do things like shovel snow or mow the lawn. Strong muscles also help you stand, sit and walk easily. When you have strong abdominal and back muscles ,you are less likely to have lower back pain. You are more likely to have correct posture.

Muscular strength improves performance in sports. You are able to throw a softball farther and hit a tennis ball harder and with more control when your muscles are strong. There is a difference in muscles size in males and females. Event if size, weight, and activity were equal, females would not develop as much muscles mass as males. The endocrine system, not physical activity, helps determine muscles size.

  1. How to Improve Muscular Strength?
Increasing muscular strength and endurance requires a moderate repetition range (10 to 12 reps) and weight. Depending on your fitness level, you should either perform three or four workouts per week.

  2. you use muscular strength when you lift yourself out of a chair, pick up a heavy object, or push a piece of furniture. In the gym, a single repetition at a given weight is an example of muscular strength.
